Case Study:
Enhancing the Resident Experience and Building a Thriving Wellness Community
ThriveHub has partnered with Meadowcrest Living,* a premier senior living community, to deliver customized yoga and wellness programs that support resident wellbeing and connection. With consistent instructors, flexible scheduling, and engaging classes designed for older adults, we’ve helped foster a vibrant, wellness-focused culture.
Here’s how we did it:
Step 1: Listen First — What’s Working, What’s Not
Meadowcrest’s team had already implemented a wellness program—but they needed help elevating it.
What was working: Residents loved the convenient class times.
What wasn’t working: Inconsistent, unprofessional instructors and a mismatch between class content and resident preferences.
Step 2: Strengthen the Foundation
Instead of starting from scratch, we optimized what was already in place.
Maintained the existing schedule of two 45-minute classes per day, including Tai Chi, Aqua Fitness, Strength, and Yoga.
Introduced top-tier instructors known for engaging, respectful class delivery and senior-specific expertise.
Step 3: Personalize Instruction & Class Content
We worked with resident feedback to fine-tune both the class content and instructor roster.
Retained beloved instructors; replaced those who didn’t meet expectations.
Shifted class focus toward functional movement and anatomy—exactly what residents asked for.
Removed unnecessary elements like meditation or breathwork that weren’t resonating.
“I discontinued my gym membership—I love the teachers here.” — Meadowcrest Resident
Step 4: Keep Residents Informed with Weekly Flyers
Every week, we delivered updated flyers that clearly reflected:
Instructor names (including substitutes)
Class titles and descriptions
Holiday schedules and time changes
Step 5: Maintain Engagement with Seasonal Updates
To keep the program feeling fresh and aligned with resident needs, we introduced seasonal adjustments—offering variety while keeping routines stable.
Step 6: Collect Feedback and Refine
We implemented a post-class feedback and survey system to continuously gather insights and fine-tune offerings, from class types to instructor styles.
Step 7: Expand With Timely Events and Workshops
As enthusiasm grew, we met rising demand by adding special events and wellness workshops—keeping momentum high and offering even more value to residents.
Fostering Resident Engagement Through Wellness
Meadowcrest Living has seen lasting benefits from our customized yoga and wellness programs—enhancing resident satisfaction and strengthening community engagement. With seasonal offerings, interactive workshops, and professional marketing support, ThriveHub has helped position Meadowcrest as a destination where wellness is woven into daily life. Together, we’ve built a thriving, connected, and wellness-forward senior living community.
