From Weekly Yoga to In-Room Wellness: ThriveHub’s Long-Term Partnership With The Westin Copley Place

The Westin Copley Place has long made well-being part of its guest experience. Beginning in 2017, ThriveHub—then YogaHub—helped the Boston hotel turn that commitment into a growing collection of live and on-demand wellness experiences.

What began with recurring yoga developed into a long-term partnership encompassing more than 100 documented live classes and event sessions, outdoor programming, private group experiences, a professionally produced in-room wellness video series, equipment support, public registration, and the development of a dedicated onsite wellness space.

Making Hotel Wellness Easier to Deliver

A hotel may want to offer wellness programming without having the internal resources to find instructors, manage schedules, prepare equipment, and oversee the experience week after week.

ThriveHub provided The Westin Copley Place with a reliable, flexible program supported by professional instructors who became familiar with the property and its guests.

“Part of the challenge with being a hotel is that there are a lot of moving pieces. You have to find someone to do it, figuring out who would be responsible at that time of day, for opening the door/letting you in, etc. and YogaHub completely put all our worries at ease. Having the opportunity to offer high quality yoga classes with accredited instructors, who come regularly, know the property and our guests, has been huge to help us further think about wellness programs moving forward.”

— Erin Sunderland, Marketing Director, The Westin Copley Place

The hotel also began receiving positive TripAdvisor feedback about its yoga classes and broader wellness offerings.

Recurring Yoga for Guests and Staff

ThriveHub began supporting The Westin with live yoga programming in 2017. The relationship continued through recurring and intermittent seasons, including early-morning classes for hotel guests and staff.

Many sessions began at 6:30 a.m., giving travelers an opportunity to move, breathe, and reset before beginning their day.

The programming continued across multiple years and returned again for a winter series in 2025. The updated Morning Yoga Reset for Travelers experience was designed specifically around the needs of hotel guests, combining movement, stretching, breathwork, and a calming close.

Taking Yoga Into Copley Square

The partnership also extended beyond the hotel itself.

During a summer series, ThriveHub led outdoor morning yoga on the Great Lawn in Copley Square. The experience included professional instructors, yoga mats, music, permitting, an indoor weather alternative, and coordination between the hotel and the outdoor class location.

This gave guests an opportunity to experience wellness while connecting with one of Boston’s best-known public spaces.

Private Classes and Group Experiences

In addition to its recurring guest programming, The Westin used ThriveHub to provide wellness experiences for conferences and private groups staying at the hotel.

Programming included:

  • Multi-day morning yoga for visiting groups

  • Boardroom yoga

  • Conference wellness sessions

  • Yoga and Pilates offered simultaneously for a private group

  • Customized special-event classes

These bookings allowed the hotel to add wellness to group itineraries without developing each experience internally.

ThriveHub provided the instructors, scheduling support, equipment, and onsite coordination needed to deliver each activation.

Professionally Produced In-Room Wellness

In 2023, the partnership expanded beyond live classes.

The Westin commissioned ThriveHub to create a professionally produced collection of six guided wellness videos for guests to access on demand from their rooms.

The series included:

  • Grounding Meditation

  • Rest & Restore

  • Stretch & Release for Travelers

  • Power Yoga Flow

  • Hatha Yoga

  • Yoga Break

The videos were planned around the realities of a hotel stay. Guests could participate in small spaces, use a chair, sofa, pillow, or optional wellness equipment, and select a practice based on the experience they needed at that moment.

ThriveHub managed the project from concept through delivery, including:

  • Program and content development

  • Professional wellness talent

  • Filming coordination

  • Professional videography

  • Branded introductions and closing screens

  • Post-production and editing

  • Final high-quality digital video delivery

Filmed onsite at The Westin Copley Place, the completed series gave the hotel a lasting wellness resource that guests could use on their own schedules.

Creating a More Complete Yoga Environment

For later live programs, ThriveHub helped transform available hotel space into a welcoming yoga room.

Support included a studio-style equipment collection with mats, blocks, belts, and blankets. ThriveHub also developed branded promotional graphics, registration materials, class descriptions, and marketing content.

Before the 2025 winter series, ThriveHub participated in an onsite photo session so the hotel would have customized imagery to promote the experience.

Small experiential details helped the room feel intentional and calming—from soft music and adjustable lighting to mindful class closings and optional quiet reflection after practice.

Welcoming the Local Community

The 2025 winter program gave Westin guests priority complimentary access while also opening the classes to members of the public for a fee.

ThriveHub managed public registration, payment collection, and participant reminders. The resulting registration revenue helped offset the hotel’s cost while bringing local residents into the property.

This created a flexible model serving several goals at once:

  • Enhancing the guest experience

  • Activating available hotel space

  • Connecting the property with the surrounding community

  • Generating revenue to support the program

  • Expanding awareness of the hotel’s wellness offerings

Developing a Dedicated Wellness-Space Model

By 2025, the relationship had progressed into the development of a broader onsite wellness partnership.

The vision centered on transforming available retail space within the hotel into a dedicated yoga and wellness room capable of supporting recurring classes, special events, hotel-requested programs, and public experiences.

The model built upon years of collaboration and reflected how far the partnership had evolved—from individual yoga classes to a more complete wellness ecosystem serving guests, staff, private groups, and the Boston community.

A Partnership Designed to Evolve

The Westin Copley Place relationship demonstrates that hotel wellness does not have to remain a single class or short-term activation.

Over time, ThriveHub helped the property deliver:

  • More than 100 documented live classes and event sessions

  • Recurring guest and staff yoga

  • Outdoor yoga in Copley Square

  • Private conference and group experiences

  • Professional yoga equipment

  • Custom photography and promotional materials

  • Public programming with revenue offset

  • Six professionally produced, on-demand in-room wellness videos

  • A framework for a dedicated onsite wellness space
