How Element Boston Seaport District Created a Restorative Wellness Experience for Guests
For Global Customer Appreciation Week, Element Boston Seaport District wanted to offer customers and long-term guests a meaningful opportunity to unwind, recharge, and experience the hotel’s commitment to well-being.
The hotel partnered with ThriveHub—then operating as YogaHub—to host a Guided Breath, Stretch & Wellness Reception led by Yoga Pro Ali Cook.
Creating the Right Guest Experience
The session was designed especially for guests managing the physical and mental strain of work, desk time, and extended travel. Element wanted the experience to feel peaceful, restorative, and accessible—not like an intimidating fitness class.
ThriveHub designed a one-hour experience combining:
Calming breathwork
Gentle, restorative movement
Stretches for desk- and travel-related tension
Eye-relaxation techniques
Guided meditation
Personal attention from an experienced Yoga Pro
Element provided yoga mats, while ThriveHub coordinated the class experience, instructor preparation, and guest communication.
Before the event, guests received an email introducing the session and setting expectations. It included a personal note from their Yoga Pro:
“A few minutes of intentional breath and movement can create the clarity and calm we often overlook in our busy routines. I look forward to guiding you in finding that space—and suggest bringing an extra layer, just in case the room is cool.”
This advance communication helped the experience feel welcoming and thoughtfully planned before guests entered the room.
A Wellness Reception Guests Could Feel
Instead of simply talking about well-being, Element gave guests a practical opportunity to experience it.
The session offered a restorative break from busy routines, extended travel, and desk work. Because the movement was gentle and approachable, guests could participate without prior yoga experience.
After the event, Heidy Bonilla, Sales Executive at Element Boston Seaport District, shared:
“Ali was great. We had an amazing stretch/meditation class. Our guest really enjoyed the time spent with Ali and her attentiveness. Overall, a great class.”
The instructor’s attentiveness was central to the experience. Successful hotel wellness programming depends on more than the activity itself: guests need to feel comfortable, acknowledged, and cared for.
Turning Customer Appreciation into Genuine Hospitality
The Guided Breath, Stretch & Wellness Reception transformed a customer-appreciation gathering into an opportunity for guests to slow down and feel personally supported.
For Element Boston Seaport District, the event offered a simple but memorable way to bring its commitment to wellness to life.
ThriveHub helps hotels create approachable wellness experiences for guest programming, customer-appreciation events, conferences, private groups, and seasonal activations. Each experience is designed around the hotel’s audience, space, and goals.
