How W Boston Brought Its Brand to Life Through Wellness

A memorable hotel wellness program should feel like an extension of the property—not a generic fitness class placed in an available room.

Across a relationship spanning from 2017 through 2025, W Boston partnered with ThriveHub, then known as YogaHub, to create distinctive wellness experiences for hotel guests, residents, employees, housekeeping teams, and special-event groups.

From glow-in-the-dark yoga to rooftop movement overlooking Boston, each experience was shaped around W Boston’s audience, setting, and energetic brand.

Transforming Yoga into an Experience

One of the partnership’s most memorable programs was Glow Yoga, a recurring Wednesday evening series designed for W Boston guests and residents.

ThriveHub helped transform a hotel event space into an immersive wellness environment using:

  • Black lights and specialized lighting

  • Glow paint and glow sticks

  • Curated electronic, house, and hip-hop-inspired music

  • Video content

  • An energetic yoga practice adapted to each group

Rather than offering a conventional hotel fitness class, W Boston created a social, visual experience that combined movement, music, and nightlife-inspired production.

ThriveHub coordinated the Yoga Pros, music, equipment, and experience details needed to bring the concept to life consistently.

Bringing Glow Yoga to a Wider Audience

The Glow Yoga series continued into 2018 and expanded beyond an onsite amenity.

ThriveHub promoted the experience through email, social media, its website, and a New Year Good Vibes campaign encouraging people to begin the year with a healthy, memorable experience. Promotions directed participants to W Boston’s Eventbrite page.

This combination of creative programming and marketing support helped position Glow Yoga as a destination experience—not simply another class on the hotel calendar.

Supporting the People Behind the Guest Experience

W Boston also expanded the partnership to support employee well-being.

ThriveHub led morning yoga and movement sessions for hotel employees and housekeeping teams throughout 2018 and 2019. The approachable 30-minute format fit into the rhythms of a busy hospitality workplace while giving employees time to move, reset, and feel appreciated.

These programs demonstrated that hotel wellness can serve the people delivering the guest experience as well as the guests themselves.

Creating Wellness Experiences for Private Groups

The partnership also supported private and corporate groups gathering at W Boston.

For one hotel group event, participants met their Pro in the hotel lobby before walking together to Boston Common for a private outdoor yoga experience. ThriveHub coordinated the instructor, equipment planning, outdoor logistics, permitting, and weather contingency.

The activation extended the hotel experience into the surrounding city while giving the group a refreshing way to begin its day.

Taking the Experience to the Rooftop

In July 2025, W Boston brought ThriveHub back for a Sunset Rooftop Flow during Owner Appreciation Week.

The all-levels yoga experience invited participants to unwind, release tension, and connect with their community while moving against the Boston skyline at golden hour.

ThriveHub developed the event concept and promotional language, provided an experienced Yoga Pro, and coordinated the participant experience.

The rooftop setting turned a familiar wellness practice into a memorable, place-specific event.

One Partnership, Many Possibilities

Across more than 40 classes and events, ThriveHub helped W Boston deliver wellness in many forms:

  • Immersive Glow Yoga experiences

  • Programming for guests and residents

  • Hotel employee and housekeeping wellness

  • Corporate group activities

  • Outdoor yoga in Boston Common

  • Rooftop programming for owner appreciation

  • Creative production, equipment, music, and marketing support

The common thread was flexibility. Instead of applying the same wellness program repeatedly, ThriveHub helped W Boston create experiences suited to each audience, occasion, and space.

ThriveHub works with hotels to turn wellness ideas into polished, on-brand experiences—from recurring guest amenities and employee programs to creative activations and unforgettable special events.
