How a Pharmaceutical Company Brought Weekly Yoga to Two Offices

Two locations, two schedules, dedicated instructors, and one consistent wellness partner

When a Boston-area pharmaceutical company wanted to offer weekly yoga at two of its offices, the program needed to work for two different locations—and two different employee schedules.

For more than two years and counting, ThriveHub has managed weekly onsite yoga classes at the company's Boston and Cambridge offices.

Rather than forcing both locations into the same format, each office selected a class time that worked for its employees. One location chose a midday class, while the other opted for yoga at 5 p.m.

The result is a multi-location wellness program designed around how employees actually use each workplace.

The Challenge: One Wellness Program Across Two Offices

Managing recurring wellness programming becomes more complicated when multiple offices are involved.

Each location needs the right schedule, space, instructor, and ongoing coordination. Employees also need enough consistency to know when classes are happening and become comfortable with the instructor.

ThriveHub worked with the client to establish a recurring class at each office while allowing the individual locations to choose schedules that made sense for their teams.

The Boston office selected a midday Wednesday class, while Cambridge chose an after-work Tuesday class at 5 p.m.

That gave the company two different approaches to workplace yoga within the same overall program.

Dedicated Instructors Build Relationships

ThriveHub paired each location with a dedicated yoga instructor who returned week after week.

That consistency matters.

Instead of meeting a different instructor at every class, employees get to know their teacher. Instructors can also become familiar with participants' experience levels, preferences, and feedback and adjust future sessions accordingly.

Employee feedback consistently highlighted the instructors as one of the strengths of the program.

Participants described teachers as helpful, attentive, and welcoming to employees who were new to yoga.

One employee noted that the instructor was "super helpful" when much of the class was new to yoga. Another specifically appreciated receiving posture corrections and individual attention.

What Happens When a Dedicated Instructor's Schedule Changes?

About a year into the partnership, one of the company's regular instructors experienced a schedule change and could no longer continue teaching the weekly class.

That's a normal possibility when working with independent wellness professionals—but it didn't need to become the client's problem.

Because ThriveHub manages a network of wellness professionals, we were able to transition the location to another experienced instructor without interrupting the company's weekly program.

Employees continued receiving their classes, and feedback about the new instructor remained highly positive.

For the client, there was no need to start a new instructor search, vet candidates, or put the program on hold.

It's one of the advantages of working with a wellness partner rather than relying on a single independent instructor.

Helping Employees Discover the Program

Great programming only works when employees know it's available.

ThriveHub created custom marketing graphics for the company to display on television screens throughout its offices, helping the internal team promote upcoming yoga classes and keep the program visible.

That promotional support complemented the recurring schedule and helped make yoga an established part of the workplace wellness offering.

What Employees Say

Feedback collected throughout the program shows strong satisfaction with both the instructors and the class experience.

Employees have described the sessions as:

  • "Relaxing, accessible and gave me the refresh break I needed to power through the afternoon."

  • "Really meant for all levels."

  • "Well organized and helpful."

  • "The right mix of poses to work on all muscle groups."

Employees also highlighted useful instructor cues, comfortable pacing, posture guidance, and the convenience of having yoga available directly in their building.

Importantly, feedback hasn't only been positive praise.

Employees have also suggested changes—such as incorporating more variety, adjusting intensity, and asking participants what they would like to focus on. That feedback creates an opportunity to continue refining the experience rather than treating the program as one-size-fits-all.

The Results

More than two years into the partnership, weekly yoga continues across both offices.

The program includes:

  • Weekly onsite yoga at two locations

  • Different schedules based on the needs of each office

  • Dedicated instructors who build familiarity with participants

  • An uninterrupted instructor transition when availability changed

  • Custom marketing graphics to support internal promotion

  • Ongoing employee feedback to help inform programming

  • Classes designed to welcome different yoga experience levels

The result is a consistent wellness benefit without requiring the client's internal team to independently source and manage yoga instructors for each location.
